Marlene G. McPherson has taught drawing, watercolour, acrylic and a variety of other mediums in the Okanagan since 1993. The Interior School District accepts her private programs and she has also been an instructor through the City of Kelowna and the Kelowna Art Gallery where she has offered art programs for Children, Teens and Adults. Marlene has also been a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists since 1998 achieving Active Status.

In 2008, Marlene was nominated for the Teacher of the Year Okanagan Art Award recognizing her teaching contribution in the Fine Arts and in 2010 she was nominated for the Creativity in Business Award through the Lake Country Chamber of Commerce.
