Howard Coneybeare

Credentials:
B Sc (Biology), University of Guelph

I graduated from University of Guelph with BSc in biology, and with several courses from the Fine Arts department. While I always was fascinated by natural history, I also loved to draw and wanted to learn to paint.

Beginning with my first summer job in Algonquin Provincial Park where I was hired to lead visitor hikes and present evening "nature talks", my artistic abilities were put to use for numerous park publications. Subsequently, I worked for Alberta Provincial Parks, and then Parks Canada providing illustrations, design and eventually project management for a wide range of publications and exhibitions.

For 40 years I have designed publications, displays and exhibits presenting stories in an accurate manner that engages visitors in parks and museums. At the same time I have studied acrylic painting and screen printing techniques for creating colour images.
