“I am passionate about the intense and creative work of making meaning and choosing to live fully throughout the life we are given”

I have worked and studied in both the artistic and therapeutic fields, and am now thrilled to combine my two passions in my work! I offer counselling, art therapy, and workshops to individuals and groups through my private practice, Open Hearth Studio, located in James Bay. Please visit my website for upcoming workshops and other services: www.openhearthstudio.com

I also contract my art therapy services to Victoria Hospice (Bereavement Group Facilitator).

I maintain professional registration with the B. C. College of Social Workers, and am an active professional member of the B. C. Art Therapy Association (currently serving on the Executive Board as President) and the Canadian Art Therapy Association.

My artistic experience includes six years of owning a studio where I designed and made fibre art, sculpture, clothing, and costumes for children’s creative play and for performance artists, and where I taught artistic workshops to children and adults. In recent years I have expanded my repertoire to include painting, clay sculpture, and woodworking.

I am committed to continuing my own growth and education through frequent participation in conferences, workshops, and courses in both art and therapeutic techniques and topics, thus ensuring my clients the highest quality of care.
