Allan Kirk

Organization:
Tarnincolour
Credentials:
SAA Professional art teacher

After training to teach, I taught Art in high school for five years before following a career in computing. I continued painting at every opportunity exploring oils, acrylics, pastel and crayons before finding my passion for watercolour impressionism, pencil and ink drawing. I moved permanently to France in January 2008 to launch Tarnincolour Painting Holidays. I have also developed a very popular range of Step-by-Step watercolour lessons, which I sell on my website www.tarnincolour.com, to customers from all over the world.

I run a widely read blog (http://tarnincolour.blogspot.fr/) and have uploaded several demonstrations to You Tube. I have been a professional member of the UK based SAA (http://www.saa.co.uk) since 2008 and regularly have articles published in their magazine, Paint.

October 2011 I was invited to Canada to demonstrate for the Federation of Canadian Artists, Victoria Chapter, and tutor watercolour and pen and wash workshops for The Coast Collective - Victoria BC, and for artist, Sam Boehner. The workshops were a huge success and I am returning in October 2012 to tutor workshops in Calgary with Karin Huehold, and again for the Coast Collective.
