Feltmaking: An Ancient Medium for Contemporary Creators

Fee:
$199 + $30 supply fee Transform raw wool fibres into felt through a wet feltmaking process. Experience a variety of fibres and materials and incorporate them into wool to create complex textural surfaces. The diversity of this ancient medium will be explored through a variety of in-class exercises and experiments. A balance of guided learning and independent investigation will allow you to discover feltmaking techniques which you can later employ in your creative work. This course is held in CapU’s Textile Arts studio.
