Workshop description: This tactile and creative felting class is for all levels, the student
will learn the basic techniques used to transform and explore the possibilities of raw
sheep's wool into felt. Methods, materials, and set up will be introduced with a primary
focus on wet felting. Enjoying the organic nature of the non-woven wool fibre together,
we will explore this ancient process of felt-making. All supplies will be provided and
each student will make two or three finished pieces to take home. Simple forms will
include: cylinder, ball, bowl, pocket, beret, or bag. Expect to have fun and learn
something new.
