Youth Photo Workshop—
"Let's Photo Zine"

Artist Julia Dahee Hong leads this workshop for high school–aged youth (ages 13-15) at the James Black Gallery (144 East 6th Ave, Vancouver).

Participants will explore the history and concept of the photo book as an art form and mode of documentation. Participants will also collaborate to design, layout, and produce a collectively authored photo book. The workshop, run as part of the inaugural Vancouver Photo Book Fair, is designed to engender passion for photography and book making, and to equip young, emerging artists with skills that provide increased agency in their creative practices.

Participants must bring a collection of their own photographs to the workshop for inclusion in the collectively authored photo book. Registered participants will receive an email from artist Julia Dahee Hong prior to the workshop with further instructions.
