In this workshop, participants will learn, hands-on, the steps involved in brewing & second-fermenting kombucha tea. You will sample the different tastes of the tea throughout the brewing process including the final fermented & final bottled tea. You will also leave with a scobi or two or three to begin your own brewing. Please bring a clean, empty mason jar, pickle or salsa jar to take your scobi home in.

Julie Ship is a freelance teacher of languages, a performer in the local Carnival Band and she dabbles in creating culinary delights and the occasional art project with one of her interests being stencil and stamp art. She’s been brewing kombucha since February 2014 and loves sharing her tips, tricks and brews. Her fave flavourings include white fruits such as nectarines, peaches, or apples along with herbs like sage, mint, and rosemary.
