Join Dene Croft Studios (118 Pemberton, NVan, tell 604 250-5562, denecroft@gmail.com) for a special season in traditional drawing and student portfolio development. Each class is dedicated to learning key visual fundamentals using traditional models such as Mastercopy, Sculpture Drawing, Life and Linear Scapes and designed to accommodate the seasoned artist through to the recreational art enthusiast. You will enjoy full lectures and demonstrations which offer you a traditional step-by-step approach to observational understanding and techniques. Mark Anthony's kind approach leads you through unraveling the most complex visual challenges, stage by stage, in a surprisingly easy to understand fashion.

During each session, you will enjoy comparing techniques from key artistic periods including the Classical Period, the Renaissance, the Baroqe, etc., with a practical understainding of structure and measurement, light form and value, spatial recession and linear perspective, anatomy, and poetic composition and finishing. Each week features subject studies in CRAFT AND TECHNIQUE, VISUAL AND PRACTICAL FUNDAMENTALS, INTRODUCTION TO CLASSICAL DRAWING and THE LIGHTER SIDE OF CLASSICAL DRAWING.

By example, Mark will teach you that traditional drawing can be easier than you may have realized. Mark's very enjoyable programs follow the old-world European studio practice and are designed to facilitate art enthusiasts of all ages and experience. This year, he has added a Young Masters program to facilitate the young thirst for artistic excellence (15+ Thursday 4:00pm). Come and be part of an exciting grand tradition spanning 500 years. Come ready to learn. Come ready to draw. Late enrollment is always welcome. Every class includes lectures and a full visual demonstration. Each individual progresses at his/her own level and speed.
