A creative two day workshop in watercolour for the beginner or novice painter. You will be shown how to use watercolour and objects to create interesting texture and design on Yupo paper, then using gouache you will bring your abstract design to completion. Yupo paper is a slick, non-porous surface. When you apply watercolour it pools and moves and needs overnight to dry. While it is drying you can set objects into it to create interesting design and texture. In this workshop you will create two large abstract designs. You will learn the principles of good design and composition while having fun applying colour and objects of interest. Perfect for someone who wants to take their creativity in a new direction or just experiment for the first time with watercolour. Yupo is supplied but you bring your own watercolour supplies to this workshop. (or pay $25 to have supplies included)
