Copic's NEW Refill Station
We are pleased to offer a new and unique service at our Opus downtown Vancouver store. Now you can refill your Copic Sketch Markers!
For those unfamiliar with Copics' Sketch markers, they are a refillable artist-quality line of low odour, alcohol-based markers. Double ended, the Sketch markers feature both a chisel nib and durable brush tip, allowing for excellent line variation within a single marker. Both nib types are replaceable, extending the lifespan of your markers even further. Refilling Copic markers is one of many great ways to combat the waste that can be produced by personal and professional art practices. You may never have to throw a marker away again!
The manner in which the Copics are refilled also leans towards the ecologically friendly: The marker's internal reservoir is refilled directly from a bottle of ink: no cartridges to swap out means less plastic waste. A refill bottle holds enough ink to refill a Sketch marker between 6 - 10 times, and the bottle itself is recyclable. Full bottles of refill ink are available online or at our downtown store. Plus we also sell empty markers singly which you can outfit with your own custom colours.
As an added benefit, we also decided to offer single 'shots' of refill ink as a service available in our downtown store only. We are excited to be able to provide you with this easy and economical option for refilling your favourite marker. Available for all 302 colours. Just stop by with your empty marker and let us do the "dirty-work". Only $3.95 a shot!
Copic inks use ethanol, an alcohol derived from plants, which is a readily renewable resource. Vegan friendly too, as no animal products are used.
We also recommend Copic's portable air brush system, which allows you to achieve a greater range of styles with just a single tool. Easy to set up and dismantle, the Airbrush System makes switching from marker-rendering to airbrushing quick and painless. Just snap your marker into the holder and start creating amazing illustrations and designs.
