What You Leave In: Contemporary Landscape with Jane Everett

Location:
Kelowna
Sat, March 3, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Sat, March 3, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Join Jane as she demonstrates how she uses mixed drawing media on drafting film in her current series A Road Less Travelled.

Her method uses the immediacy of drawing to explore the intersection of the natural and man made worlds. Her techniques employ the media in unusual ways to create a sense of motion, weather and emotional resonance in the landscape, allowing the pentimento of the process to remain. Using dry media materials like Rembrandt Pastels and Derwent XL Charcoal, she will demonstrate how she determines the view point and chooses what to leave in the composition, to render landscape with a contemporary edge.
