Bryan Coombes’ background as a commercial pilot, mountaineer, traveler and photographer has allowed him to explore painting from many perspectives. The vast spectrum of subjects and all the different ways of painting them excite him like nothing else! As Bryan goes about his daily business, he’s amazed at the profound and simple beauty that surrounds us everywhere.

When he’s painting he becomes the observer, he slows down and actually beholds it. More than anything else it allows Bryan to slip into the now, the eternal moment that evades us most of the time. While painting he perceives that everything truly is here and now... and the hands on his watch stop. Bryan believes there are not enough years to paint everything he wants to paint.
