Set for Success: Painting Outdoors with Confidence with Maria Josenhans
Sun, April 2, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
March 15, 2017 – Please note: This demonstration is now full, but please sign up for the wait list: often there is an attendee who needs to cancel. Thank you for your interest!
Step 1: Get the gear that is right for the job. Step 2: Get out and paint!
Drawing on her personal experience in the field, Maria will be discussing which tools make for a sturdy, simple and efficient plein air painting set-up. She will demonstrate her sketching techniques that act as her reference and roadmap while in process in the field.
She will also demonstrate how the sketch then translate it to paint, plus various portable supplies Maria uses.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus North Vancouver or contact them at 604‑904‑0447 to register.
A full time artist based in North Vancouver, Maria paints both landscape and abstract works in oil. After graduating from University of the Arts, Maria began her career as an illustrator and photographer, an invaluable part of developing her present sensibilities as a painter. Her work is held in private and corporate collections throughout Canada, Europe and the US. She is currently represented by the Buckland Southerst Gallery, West Vancouver and Art Interiors, Toronto.
