Painting Skin Tones in Acrylics with Nirmala Greenwell

Sat, September 2, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Sat, September 2, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

This demonstration will focus on the basic palettes for mixing skin tones using acrylic paint, and how to lighten, darken or gray colours to indicate tonal values to describe form and depth.

Nirmala will discuss factors such as light, reflecting colours or cast shadows that affect the actual skin tone. Attendees will learn that there is an enormous variety of skin tones, and the basic palettes can be lightened or darkened or grayed to match the subject.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Victoria or contact them at 250‑386‑8133 or toll free 1‑800‑524‑6555 to register.

Nirmala is an award-winning artist painting predominantly in acrylics. In addition to doing figurative and commissioned work, she enjoys plein-air painting and giving workshops and demos. Her work is collected locally, as well as elsewhere in Canada and internationally.
