One Stroke Landscapes with Michelle Droettboom

Sat, August 12, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Sat, August 12, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Living in Kelowna, people always want to paint the beautiful Lake Okanagan and now it’s your turn to learn how!

You will learn to paint the sky, the mountains, and the lake in one stroke each! You will discover how to add a horizon line and some ink for the trees and reflections. You will find that it is crazy exciting when this turns out positive using fairly large brushes and very few strokes.

Michelle will focus on the relationship between the amount of pigment and the amount of water to use when painting in watercolour. She will demonstrate how to know when to move to the next section of the painting to achieve the effects you want for sky, mountains and water.

Expect to learn to have courage and fun when painting in watercolour!

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Kelowna or contact them at 250‑763‑3616 or toll free 1‑800‑814‑8885 to register.

Michelle is a self-taught watercolor painter who uses the creative energy she used with Autistic children as a speech pathologist to paint in a loose, "let's try that" approach to watercolour. She has painted for 20 years and still finds something new to try each time she paints.
