Natural Abstraction with Suzan Marczak
Sat, January 21, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
January 5, 2017 – Please note: This demonstration is full and no further registration will be taken. Thank you for your interest!
Have you ever wanted to explore abstraction using alternative methods of working with colour, texture, and composition?
Learn how you can benefit from the versatility of acrylic paint when working with different mediums, and to allow the natural processes of gravity and viscosity to inform your work. Join Suzan Marczak as she creates an abstract painting with layers of acrylic paint, ink, and a variety of unorthodox media and applications.
Suzan will illustrate how to incorporate texture into abstract paintings without overwhelming a strong composition, plus how to use a limited, but effective palette of colours.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Granville Island or contact them at 604‑736‑7028 to register.
Whether through raw, textural acrylic abstraction, or finely detailed realism, Suzan Marczak's work derives its inspiration from the forces of the natural world. Suzan is a Vancouver artist whose work has been shown in numerous public and private galleries since 2002. She is a graduate of Capilano University’s Studio Art Program and Emily Carr University.
