Mon, January 22, 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

January 17, 2018 – Please note: The 10:30 AM demonstration is full and no further registration will be taken. Thank you for your interest!
The 12:30 PM demonstration has been cancelled.

Join Jim as he demonstrates how it can be fun to work with colours that might not be your first choice. Working with a photo reference and acrylic paint, Jim will show the participants how he lays down a dark background and builds with lighter colours.

This technique will show how the colours changes over the course of the painting process and allow you to easily shift the colour scheme to your desire. Jim will mostly likely demonstrate this technique with a red maple tree in contrast with a misty background in acrylic on stretched canvas.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Coquitlam or contact them at 604‑545‑0410 to register.
