Legal Protections for Visual Artists with Meagen Berlin

Location:
Victoria
Sun, September 2, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Sun, September 2, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

August 14, 2018 – Please note: This demonstration has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date this year. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This demonstration on legal protections for visual artists will cover the varied rights that different artists have, how to protect them, how to negotiate for their protection, and how to respond to and enforce such rights when they haven’t been adhered to.

Join Meagan as she uses topical examples and tailors the presentation to the different types of artists that might be in attendance. The aim of this workshop is to provide a good informational foundation so that artists could leave thinking about the types of protections they might want for their own artwork, and integrate it in their existing or continued practices.

The hope is that the people attending will feel comfortable and confident in shaping the protections they want for their work up-front, and know how to easily access resources as needed.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Victoria or contact them at 250‑386‑8133 or toll free 1‑800‑524‑6555 to register.
