Paint the elements of the wild like flora, fur, and feathers!

Join Julia as she demonstrates how to paint realistic fauna and flora using acrylics with techniques taken from watercolour painting. Discover how she uses small brushes to build up layers of colour, and how she finishes her paintings using dry brush techniques to create detail, realism and lighting effects.

Chosen five times for the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Birds in Art Exhibition, and three times Ducks Unlimited National Art Portfolio winner, BC artist Julia Hargreaves trained in England and received a MA in art from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Her art has been published internationally. In 2008 Julia illustrated
‘Birdscapes - a Pop-Up Celebration of bird song,’ published by
Chronicle, 2008. She is member of Artists for Conservation
