Sat, August 26, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Sat, August 26, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Paper marbling is a fun, easy and experimental process that creates colourful swirls of paint on paper and other surfaces.

Attendees will have the chance to try out this process while also learning some helpful tips and tricks. Learn how to fix issues such as dropping inks, how to dry and finish marbled papers as well as how to manage doing marbling with groups of kids.

Using a non-toxic material called carrageenan to create a thick bath, thin acrylic paints are dropped on the surface and swirled using tools such as pins or knitting needles. A variety of papers and other objects are then dipped onto the surface of the bath with unique and surprising results.
