An Impressionistic Approach to Painting Florals with Arden Rose

Watch Arden as she demonstrates her impressionistic approach to painting florals with acrylic paint.

She will be discussing various techniques, such as, how to use palette knives to create texture and shape, as well as ideas for composition. Methods include layering of paint and scraping using a palette knife, glazing and collage.

You will learn to let go of perfection and just have fun with colour and texture.

Arden has been a member of Zebra Art Collective since inception in 2015. She is a member of Saanich Peninsula Arts & Crafts Council, and Gage Gallery Collective. Arden has taken courses at Vancouver Island School of Art (VISA), Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts (MISSA), Arts Centre at Cedar Hill, and Coast Collective, as well as numerous workshops with both local and international artists including Michelle Miller, Debra Tilby, Nicholas Pierce, Nick Bantock and Robert Burridge.
