Go with the Flow: Working with a Wood Canvas with Alex Ross (AKA DrawnAlex)

Location:
Kelowna
Sat, May 20, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Sat, May 20, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Alex is an artist who often uses wood as her canvas. In this demonstration she will show how to use the wood grain to your benefit, and how to work with it, rather than against "flaws", like knots or dark lines.

Wood burning, also known as pyrography, and watercolour painting will be the main techniques demonstrated in this session.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Kelowna or contact them at 250‑763‑3616 or toll free 1‑800‑814‑8885 to register.

Alex Ross AKA DrawnAlex was born in Australia, has lived in half a dozen countries and now calls the Okanagan Valley home. She holds a BA Hon. from Mount Allison University as well as certificates in biomimicry design and drafting. Work by DrawnAlex is instantly recognizable by clean lines, bold colour blocking, and natural themes.
