Kimberly will show you how fun and easy it is to bring art and creativity into your regular routine at home or in the classroom by sharing some of her tips and successes as an enthusiastic and much-loved art instructor.

She will share a few of her student’s most loved projects and steps on how you can create them with your own children. She will provide suggestions on how to guide your child’s artistic growth in a positive and encouraging manner, keeping creativity in the forefront. She will also bring some her favourite books that she recommends to spark children’s imagination and develop their knowledge of art history in a fun and humorous manner.

Whether you are already creative with your child or don’t have a clue where to start; this demonstration is jam-packed with new ideas, knowledge and inspiration.

Bring a notebook and write down Kimberly’s favourite art supplies that are multi-purpose and keep the kids creating; as well as secrets on how to keep the art-making a little less messy.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Coquitlam or contact them at 604‑545‑0410 to register.

Kimberly Blackstock is first and foremost a passionate painter who balances her creative time as an art instructor for people of all ages in her community. Her palette is uplifting and energetic and so are the classrooms she teaches in! Her children’s art programs and camps are always full and often “wait-listed” as the children keep coming back for more. As an artist she is known for her dedication to explore and push the creative boundaries of paint application and as an instructor she is just as passionate about sharing her knowledge with her students; inspiring them to find creative motivation, seek new ways of seeing and gain technical skill.
