Discover different strokes to create beautiful texture in acrylic!

Daniel will focus on the application of texture to develop a way of play with different strokes in acrylics.

Daniel will introduce you to the different strokes that can add texture to your acrylics as your apply them to the canvas, including crisscrossing; scumbling, applying the paint in different directions; stippling or dotting the paint on the canvas; and dry brushing without any water. Additionally, simply choosing not to blend your brushstrokes completely or at all will immediately create texture

Daniel Dearborn started In the early 1980 displaying his works in galleries in Chilliwack, BC mainly focusing on watercolour and oil. Life took him to many beautiful places in BC that helped him to love nature such as Powell River, Vancouver Island, and more. However, moving to Kelowna in 1985 and taking up acrylic and its mix between the the two oil and watercolour feel, is where he started to find his style. Dan’s paintings revolve around the Okanagan and it’s seasonal changes helping Dan to be in the moment. Daniel is currently displaying his work in Picture Perfect Gallery focusing on all seasons spring, summer, autumn, and winter works.
