Develop Expressive & Effective Brushwork with Lalita Hamill
Sat, January 28, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
January 13, 2017 – Please note: The demonstration is now full. However, there is potential for a second demo time. Please contact the host store for more information. Thank you for your interest!
Get the look you want with the tools you can count on!
Lalita will help you discover how to use each oil brush type to its full potential and get the look you want by using the right tool. In this demonstration you will learn how to successfully 'load' a brush with paints or mediums, the importance of appropriate paint consistency when using certain brush types, and different techniques such as pressure, strokes, dry brushing, blending and glazing.
Attention will also be given to creating a specific mood and an interesting eye flow within your work by using a variety of hard, soft, lost and found edges.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Coquitlam or contact them at 604‑545‑0410 to register.
Lalita is a popular instructor and juror who specializes in abstract realism, especially of figures and landscapes. She attended the Vancouver Academy of Art, where she studied traditional painting methods from classically trained instructors.
“I paint to gently awaken in myself and others that which has been lost, hidden, or buried.”
