Thu, September 14, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Thu, September 14, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Interpreting an architectural photo on canvas using a limited palette and flat or bright brush technique, Jane will explain perspective and the use of acrylic skins to create a third dimension and relief to her paintings.

You will acquire many techniques and be able to apply them as they you see fit in your works and be inspired to explore new creative techniques such as using a cut up expired credit card in lieu of palette knives, a dinner fork dipped in gesso, and bubble wrap for certain types of foliage.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Coquitlam or contact them at 604‑545‑0410 to register.

Painting in the tradition of her mentors the French impressionists, Jane is now in her 26th year as professional practising visual artist/instructor, avid photographer and author. Self taught, she is pursuing a lifelong passion and has developed her unique limited palette and flat brush technique. Jane has taught Adult Education Watercolour Classes at Kwantlen University, Bonsor Ctre, "en plein air" in France, small group classes locally & in Mazatlan, private studio classes and demos for art associations plus self publishing three technique books. Jane’s works have been exhibited in galleries, group and solo shows in Canada, France, Italy, Mexico & Slovenia and garnered numerous awards.
