Art Kits @ Opus

Located on Granville Island for more than 30 years, Arts Umbrella has grown from a dream of a few young and artistic parents to a highly respected model for children’s arts organizations around the world. Arts Umbrella ignites a lasting inspiration in the classroom, so that students can learn to think creatively in everything they do.

Arts Umbrella is a not-for-profit centre for arts education for young people, reaching thousands of children and youth annually through core programming, outreach programs and school performances. Arts Umbrella is committed to making arts education accessible, especially for children and youth in under served neighbourhoods, with innovative instruction in dance, theatre, music and visual and media arts.

The artist-educators at Arts Umbrella are experts in their discipline of instruction, and active participants in the local arts community. Arts Umbrella provides the highest quality materials, benefiting all artistic interests and skill levels and giving every child the opportunity to let their creativity flourish.

Opus has partnered with Arts Umbrella in a fundraising initiative, putting together art kits containing these high quality materials that will allow children to continue the Arts Umbrella experience at home.

There are two art kits that are a great value for the highest quality, age appropriate supplies:

1. The Art Start Kit, recommended for ages 2-6 is the perfect gift for the budding visual artist.
2. The Intermediate Art Kit, recommended for ages 6-12 will enable any young artist to explore their technique and creativity.

The art kits will be available for sale at Opus on Granville Island. Proceeds from the sales of these art kits will support Arts Umbrella in continuing to benefit our communities through inspiring kids for life through the arts.
