SFU Philosophers' Cafe
Date:
April 18, 2012
The Vancouver Art scene. When most of us think about art, we think of classical forms like dance painting, sculpture and theatre. But where do other art forms like graffiti, wall posts, video and digital design fit in? Do they deserve to be called art too?
Everyone is welcome to join this free discussion held at the Burnaby Public Library, McGill branch, 4595 Albert St at 7 pm. Registration and experience not necessary. Moderated by Paul Matthew St. Pierre, a painter and installation artist as well as a professor of English at SFU, where he specializes in postcolonial literature and film studies.
