The Legacy of Terry Fox & colourwheels Exhibitions
Date:
July 29th, 2010 - September 20th, 2010
The Legacy of Terry Fox
July 29-September 20
In collaboration with the Terry Fox Foundation this exhibit will highlight the impact of the Run on people’s lives and feature all the t-shirts and posters designed for the Terry Fox Run along with other memorabilia.
Terry Fox, a local Port Coquitlam and Canadian hero (1959-1981), first brought national attention to cancer in 1980 when he crossed the country in his Marathon of Hope. Now almost thirty years later, the torch continues to be carried as the drive to find a cure continues in many communities from coast to coast to coast.
