Artists from around B.C. are invited to submit a maximum of 3 images of their original artwork for a juried exhibition.

The Entry deadline is Saturday, March 3th, 2012. The jurying will occur on March 10th, 2012 and you will be notified regarding your acceptance by email on March 14th, 2012. Receiving of accepted works Wednesday, March 28 10am-7pm; Friday, March 30 5 pm - 7pm; and Saturday, March 31 10 am - 12 am. Opening Wednesday, April 4, 2012 - 7 - 9pm.
RULES OF ENTRY
SUBMISSIONS BY DIGITAL IMAGE: the image must be in the JPEG (.jpg) file format only. Non JPEG files will NOT be converted by the DAC. The image must be a true copy of the original art work in values, intensity and colour. Name file as follows: last name, first name or initial, separator dash and short title of work. Example: West, L - Mirror. Images must
be cropped to eliminate background noise (no frames, mats, easels, gardens, etc. visible). Attach image file to an email addressed to Lara at artspacific2012@gmail.com. Do not send diskettes or CD’s containing images. Digital images are to be emailed only. Make sure the file is attached to the email and the subject line is filled out with “artSpacific”.
Along with your digital images please include: Your name, address, email address, home or cell phone #, the title, category, size, medium and price of each piece. Payment may be made by paypal on our website at deltaartscouncil.ca or by cheque or money order made payable to Delta Arts Council and mailed to the Delta Arts Council, 11489- 84th Avenue, Delta V4C 2L9.
ENTRY FEES: Artists may submit up to 3 works for a nonrefundable entry fee; 1st image $20.00, 2nd and 3rd images $10.00 each. ($40 for 3 works total)
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: The entries must be submitted to the Delta Arts Council on or before Saturday, March 3, 2012.
Only the images may be submitted electronically to the DAC.
ACCEPTED OR DECLINED ENTRIES: You will be notified by email on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012. Please DO NOT PHONE THE ARTS COUNCIL.
Accepted works are due at the gallery no later than noon on Saturday, March 31, 2012. (storage and shipping are not available)
All work must be original, no photographs, prints, kits, commercial crafts, or copies of other artists' work, or works previously hung at the gallery will be accepted. Artwork must be matted, framed and wired, ready for hanging. Pieces to be clean with no glass chips or damaged frames. Canvas works to have properly finished edges or to be framed. The wire must be taut and no less than 4.5" below the centre-top of the frame. Work that is not ready to hang will not be displayed. DAC reserves the right to make hardcopy prints of award winning pieces for archival purposes.
Categories for entry
1. work on paper; watermedia, pastel, pencil, or any media supported by paper. No photography.
2. works on canvas or board; oil, mixed media, collage or acrylic.
3. three dimensional work or fabric art including sculpture, metalwork, tapestry, weaving, and quilting.
4. NEW: Youth only (16yrs and younger. Any media

Show runs: Sunday April 1st-Friday April 13th.
Special hours to be announced
Sales of work will be handled by the Delta Arts Foundation and a donation of 20% will be deducted from the artist's sale price. All work must be original, NO photographs, prints, kits, commercial crafts, or copies of other artists' work or works previously hung at the gallery will be accepted.
Unsold works to be collected on Saturday, April 14th 9am - 4pm
