Foam Brushes are excellent for those jobs where a wide applicator is needed to quickly lay down swaths of colour, varnish, dye or any liquid. The very low price makes them disposable. The foam is absorbent to carry a lot of liquid paint (or other medium) and smooth to make an even coat.

Foam brush does the job

They're nothing particularly special, but they are not cheaply made and they fill their roll well for the low price. Cheaper at Opus than at a hardware store too. I use them for gesso predominantly.
